DO YOU OFFER NHS TREATMENT?
We are restricted in the number of NHS patients we can accommodate and are not currently taking any new NHS patients. We do have capacity for private patients.
DO YOU OFFER WHITE (COMPOSITE) FILLINGS?
Yes. We use white fillings because they look natural, are kinder to the soft tissue than silver or gold amalgams, and they chemically bond to your actual tooth structure so offer support to your tooth.
WHY DO I NEED TO HAVE REGULAR CHECK UPS?
Your dentist is skilled in the early detection of any problems, from tooth decay and gum disease to oral cancer. Your oral health has an impact on your overall health and wellbeing so 6 monthly check ups can help protect you from more significant and costly dental treatment, and may offer early detection of wider health problems.
WHAT AGE SHOULD I START BRINGING MY CHILD TO SEE THE DENTIST?
Bring in your child as soon as they can sit still in a chair and open their mouth, and have teeth.
CAN I STILL GO TO THE DENTIST WHILE I'M PREGNANT?
Do not hesitate to see your dentist for any problems that occur but make sure your dentist knows you are pregnant so that precautions can be taken with any x-rays or medication.
WHAT IS AN IMPLANT?
Implants offer you a safe long-term natural-looking replacement of a missing tooth or teeth. The two part process involves first a small screw-shape titanium cylinder placed into the bone of the upper or lower jaw, to replace the root part of the tooth. Second, after about three months when the bone has grown around the implant, a crown is attached to give you a fully functioning tooth.
HOW LONG DO DENTAL IMPLANTS LAST?
Implants, with proper oral hygiene procedures, can last for life and are suitable for most people.
IS TEETH WHITENING TREATMENT SAFE?
Teeth whitening is considered by the The General Dental Council as a form of dentistry. When performed by a qualified dentist or dental professional, such as a hygienist, it is an effective and very safe treatment.
