Radiofrequency is the latest technology for treating face and body areas where skin improvement is required. This breakthrough treatment is safe and pain free and can be used on any area of the body, especially around the eyes.

The treatment mainly feels like a "hot stone massage" and is quite relaxing. Changes are many times visible after 1 or 2 treatments but best results will be achieved with a course of treatment (4-6) depending on patient and area treated.

Treatments are usually spaced out every couple of weeks and the cosmetic effect is accumulative.

How does it work?
Radiofrequency works on heating up the skin and underlying tissues. It is "in motion" so normally pain-free. Clinical studies have shown that through heating up the tissues to a certain degree collagen formation will be stimulated which in turn gives back a youthful appearance to the skin.
Radiofrequency also penetrates into the fatty skin layer causing better drainage of the area and reducing cellulite with improved contouring of the area treated.

Where can it be used?
Radiofrequency can be used anywhere on the body. It works well for lifting areas on the face, restoring a more youthful chin and jaw line and giving an eye lift. It can sculpt areas of the body that are resistant to change, for example "saddle bags" and "love handles". It is very good for recreating a tighter abdomen especially post pregnancy.

How long does the results last?
Results are long lasting but like most other cosmetic treatments not permanent. Effects can last up to 2 years in certain patients. Results very much depend on the age and skin type of the patient. Most people have the treatment until they get their desired results and then have an annual maintenance course of treatment.
